1960sOn September 3, 1960, Wilbur Hardee opens his first Hardee's® restaurant in Greenville, North Carolina. By the end of the 60s, there were more than 200 Hardee's locations.

1970sHardee's continues to grow, expanding its presence and its menu, by adding the famous fresh cookies made from Scratch™, as well as the roast beef sandwich, which still remain the guests favorites.

1980sIn the 80s, Hardee's opened its 2,000th establishment and continued its biscuit fame by introducing Cinnamon 'N' Raisin™ cookies.

1990s
1990sCKE Restaurants acquired Hardee's in 1997, creating a chain of 3,828 restaurants in 40 states and 10 restaurants in foreign countries.

2000sHardee's presented its branded Thickburgers® line - delicious burgers made of 100% Angus beef patty cakes.

2008The first Hardee's restaurant is opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan, offering guests delicious and juicy burgers made of 100% beef, which were well-loved by our guests!

2023Hardee's continues to expand in Kazakhstan and as of today we have 16 restaurants in Astana and Almaty. High quality standards and a recipe made of 100% beef remain the main priorities of our brand!
